Regulating generation of multiple emulsion through double parallel-crank mechanism

Abstract A method was proposed for preparing multiple emulsions based on a double parallel-crank mechanism. The dispersed phase flows into the glass capillary, and capillary driven to make circular motion via connecting crank structure. Then, external shears through mechanism prepare water in oil (W/O) droplets, process of generation droplets simulated by CFD. effects rotating speed, diameter, flow rate, viscosity droplet formation were investigated. size frequency controlled rotational speed. More importantly, Single or multicore generated rotation generator, speed number cores Finally, multi-component microgels produced pre-crosslinking method. This study provides system that has ability generate various expanding practicability versatility providing new platform emulsion preparations.
